KEYNOTE PRESENTER

Nan Wehipeihana

Nan specializes in evaluation with a focus on Māori – whānau, hapū, iwi, and Māori organizations and communities. Nan’s practice is characterized by the use of Kaupapa Māori, tikanga Māori and developmental evaluation. Nan has an unerring focus on outcomes for Māori. By bringing the voices of Māori to government and funders and a critical analysis perspective, she offers insight into what works for Māori and what needs to change.

Nan has more than 25 years of experience in designing, leading and managing evaluations. She builds teams tailored to the program, kaupapa and community contexts. She has an extensive track record in policy and program evaluation, the use of mixed methods and applying systems thinking. She supports individuals, teams and organizations to build their evaluation capacity, providing mentoring and bespoke training in evaluation-specific tools and methodologies. She supports organizations to commission and implement their evaluation and to report their findings.

New Featured Conference Event:

We extend an invitation to submit a proposal for Birds of a Feather, a session format designed to facilitate informal, small-group discussions with the goal of fostering connections and exchanging ideas. Instead of delivering a formal presentation, facilitators will introduce key questions or topics to spark conversation and collaborative exploration.

Featured Conference Event: Share-A-Thon

Share-A-Thon presenters will present their work in an open, 60-minute session. Presenters will be provided a table and are invited to bring their own materials and/or devices to showcase their work in an interactive, expo-style Share-A-Thon. Posters, flyers, laptops, cards, games... anything is possible! The only requirements are that presenters use an aid or materials to share their content and it fits in the space provided (standard table).

The aid/materials presenters use to share their work has a chance to win a cash award in honor of Lois-ellin Datta. First place is $100 and presentation aid/materials will be rated (by attendees) on design, content, and usefulness.
